Your mornings start with surfaced model drift alerts from overnight portfolio simulations. You'll tighten the feedback loop between raw market data and LLM-generated research synthesis, shipping React components that traders actually stare at while the market's open. Expect to pair Python data pipelines with FastAPI services that feed chain-of-thought reasoning flows—not demos, but production tools managing real capital decisions. The backend lives on Azure Kubernetes; the frontend has to keep up when latency is measured in milliseconds and downtime costs actual money.
What they're looking for
- 3+ years building production systems in Python, with serious exposure to data-heavy domains like finance, quant tooling, or enterprise analytics
- Proficiency across the full stack: React on the frontend, FastAPI or Django on the backend, with comfort deploying to Kubernetes on Azure
- Hands-on experience orchestrating LLM workflows—LangChain in production, not prototypes—and debugging retrieval pipelines when answers go stale
- Track record of writing Pandas-heavy data transformations that survive market opens, quarter ends, and schema changes without hand-holding
- Based in metro New York or willing to be in-person a few days weekly for whiteboard sessions that still matter when capital is at risk
