You'll spend your days making language models actually useful to real people booking trips and experiences—tuning retrieval pipelines, refining how agents hand off to human experts, and shipping features that turn vague travel dreams into booked itineraries. Most of your code will land in TypeScript and Go, running on Kubernetes in GCP, with React on the frontend. The work sits at the intersection of constrained problem-solving (flights, hotels, tables have rules) and open-ended conversation ("something romantic, not too far, good in October").
What they're looking for
- 1+ years shipping AI features in production, not just prototyping in notebooks
- Solid grasp of prompt engineering, RAG architecture, and agent design patterns
- Proficiency in TypeScript or Go; willing to work across both
- Experience with PostgreSQL at scale and comfort deploying on K8s/GCP
- Genuine interest in travel, marketplaces, or consumer products where trust matters
