Avionics Hardware Engineer
This team is designing long-range hypersonic vehicles that operate at the edge of what’s physically possible—and the avionics inside them have to survive conditions no commercial system ever faces. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can own circuit design, board layout, and integration testing for flight-critical hardware that spans power regulation, sensor interfaces, and high-speed data links. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with mechanical, software, and systems engineers in a Los Angeles lab where prototypes move from whiteboard to test stand in weeks, not quarters. If you’d rather prove a design works by flying it than by presenting a slide deck, this is where you belong.
What they're looking for
- 3–8 years of hands-on avionics or embedded hardware design experience, ideally in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability applications
- Proven skill with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence, or equivalent) for mixed-signal boards
- Strong bench skills: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and the instinct to debug a board that isn't behaving
- Working knowledge of Python for test automation, data analysis, or scripting hardware-in-the-loop setups
- Comfortable in an on-site, hardware-centric culture where you regularly handle, build, and test the electronics you design
