A well-funded startup building AI-powered robotic systems for factories and warehouses.
Robotics Infrastructure Engineer
Your first year will be defined by the reliability you bring to a fleet of industrial robot arms already deployed on factory floors. You'll own the connective tissue between high-level autonomy software and the physical machines that execute precision tasks — designing CI pipelines that test against real hardware, hardening RPC interfaces that orchestrate multi-robot workflows, and building Python tooling that lets the broader engineering team move fast without breaking production cells. When a customer's line is running 24/7 and a robot doesn't miss a beat, the infrastructure you architected will be the reason why. This is a hands-on, on-site role in Boston where your work shows up in steel, servos, and throughput metrics.
What they're looking for
- 3+ years writing production Python, with a focus on systems that talk to hardware or other non-trivial external processes
- Deep experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines — you've debugged flaky integration tests that depend on physical devices or simulators
- Strong grasp of RPC patterns and the discipline to version interfaces that span software and hardware teams
- Comfortable with Git-based workflows and the rigor of peer review in a codebase where a bad merge can stop a robot in its tracks
- You gravitate toward the unglamorous infrastructure work that makes ambitious systems trustworthy
