AI infrastructure for healthcare revenue cycle management

Founding Engineer

San FranciscoOn-site$170K - $250K0 - 8 years
The U.S. healthcare system bleeds billions in delayed and denied claims. This small team is building the intelligence layer that helps the country's largest hospital systems actually get paid for the care they deliver. As a Founding Engineer, you'll own core systems from day one—shipping models that parse clinical documentation and architecting pipelines that reconcile payments across fragmented payer networks. The code you write will sit between patient care and financial survival for institutions serving millions.

What they're looking for

  • Fluency in Python or Go for production systems; TypeScript comfort for interfaces you'll also touch
  • Experience shipping on at least one major cloud platform—AWS, GCP, or Azure—in a regulated or high-stakes environment
  • Scrappy builder who can reason through ambiguity: you'll design schemas before they exist and refactor when assumptions fracture
  • Genuine interest in healthcare operations, reimbursement mechanics, or the administrative burden crushing clinical staff
  • Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco for daily in-person collaboration with the founding team
