You'll embed with newly acquired civil, structural, and MEP practices across the New York metro—shipping production systems that bridge legacy CAD workflows with generative models. One week you're prototyping a Kotlin pipeline that extracts structural load patterns from PDF markups; the next you're sitting with a 30-year PE in Queens, watching how they actually spec rebar, so your Next.js dashboard doesn't become shelfware. Expect to write Python that talks to Langchain agents, debate Tailwind component architecture with designers who've never set foot on a jobsite, and occasionally explain to a skeptical foreman why the machine got the concrete mix right.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years shipping full-stack software in production environments, with substantial backend work in Python or Kotlin
- Demonstrated comfort integrating LLM frameworks into business-critical workflows—not just prototypes
- Experience translating messy, real-world data (PDFs, scans, handwritten field notes) into structured pipelines
- Willingness to spend significant time on-site with engineering teams in the NYC area, building trust through proximity
