Building AI-designed thermal hardware that decarbonizes heavy industry.
Senior Thermal Engineer
We’re a small, well-funded team attacking one of the hardest problems in energy: making industrial heat transfer radically more efficient with geometries no human engineer would conceive. You’ll own the thermal architecture and simulation pipeline, moving between first-principles modeling, Python-based design of experiments, and real-world validation of hardware that operates at punishing temperatures and heat fluxes. This is a deeply technical, high-autonomy role for someone who can start with a blank sheet, run multiphysics analyses, and guide designs all the way to production hardware. If you want your work to directly shape the core IP of a company — and cut emissions in sectors that have barely budged in decades — this is it.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of hands-on thermal engineering experience, ideally with high-temperature or high-flux systems in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical modeling, automation of simulation workflows, and data analysis
- Deep background in conjugate heat transfer, conduction, convection, and radiation; experience with CFD and FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, COMSOL, or STAR-CCM+)
- Track record of taking thermal designs from concept through validation in a production or prototype environment
- Comfortable working remotely while collaborating closely with a small, interdisciplinary hardware team across time zones
