Founding AI Engineer
We're building the connective tissue for startup hiring—a platform where founders, recruiters, and job seekers move from fragmented outreach to structured, high-signal introductions. As our first AI engineer, you'll design the intelligence layer that surfaces the right person at the right moment, turning a network into a searchable, reasoning system. You'll own the architecture from embedding pipelines to Slack-native agents, working across Python backends, React surfaces, and Salesforce integrations. This is a zero-to-one role on a two-person team with funding in place and a clear mandate to build something genuinely useful for how startups actually hire.
What they're looking for
- 4–5 years of software engineering experience with deep proficiency in Python and modern AI/LLM stacks
- Comfortable building full-stack features, including React frontends that connect to data-heavy backends
- Experience integrating with business platforms like Salesforce and Slack in production environments
- A bias toward shipping functional, pragmatic systems over abstract perfection—you value working software and real user feedback
- Self-directed and clear in communication; you'll shape both the product and the engineering culture from day one
