This team believes the next leap in enterprise software isn't a better dashboard—it's autonomous tooling that actually executes complex, multi-step tasks. As the founding engineer, you'll design agentic systems that reason over business logic, chain API calls, and manipulate structured data inside platforms like Salesforce—turning hours of manual ops into seconds of orchestrated work. You'll work alongside two other builders in San Francisco, writing Python daily, shaping a product that hasn't shipped yet, and defining the technical culture from commit one. The ceiling on this role is enormous: you'll set the architecture, own the agent loop, and push what's possible when LLMs meet real business systems.
What they're looking for
- 1–5 years writing production Python, with fluency in async patterns and API integrations
- Hands-on experience with the Salesforce ecosystem—Apex, SOQL, or managed packages—and an opinion on its sharp edges
- Comfort building with LLMs: prompt engineering, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation
- Instinct for shipping fast without breaking trust: you bias toward small, observable, reversible changes
- Presence in San Francisco (or willingness to relocate immediately); this is an on-site, high-autonomy role
