We're stitching together an operating system for accounting firms—one that coordinates agents, automates back-office drudgery, and lets practitioners focus on judgment instead of data entry. As the first product engineer, you'll shape the full-stack foundations of a platform that ingests messy financial documents, reasons over ledger structures, and surfaces insights through a clean, opinionated interface. This is a zero-abstraction engineering role: you'll write TypeScript across the stack, sit next to the founders in our New York office, and decide what the v1 architecture looks like. If you've ever looked at a QuickBooks integration and thought you could build something genuinely intelligent in its place, we should talk.

What they're looking for

  • 3 to 8 years building and shipping full-stack software in JavaScript or TypeScript, with a portfolio that proves you think in systems, not just features
  • Comfort working close to the metal on integrations—REST APIs, document parsing, and wrangling semi-structured data are the daily bread here
  • Product intuition sharp enough to prototype workflows for an industry you may not have worked in, then refine them based on direct user feedback
  • Experience in early-stage environments where ambiguity is the default and you're making architectural decisions that will outlive the current sprint
  • Bias toward clean, maintainable code and a distaste for over-engineering; you ship pragmatically but never sloppily
