You'll spend your mornings in architecture reviews for AI-driven voice systems, afternoons coaching engineers through gnarly JavaScript and Python bottlenecks, and Thursdays presenting roadmap trade-offs to product leads. This is a player-coach role: expect to commit code in week one while standing up systems that let a 150-person team ship reliably. You'll own delivery cadence, technical standards, and the career arcs of engineers shipping conversation software that handles millions of real customer calls.
What they're looking for
- 10+ years in software engineering with substantial time leading cross-functional teams
- Deep hands-on fluency in JavaScript and Python; you can debug at the framework level
- Track record shipping ML or NLP-powered products in production environments
- Experience scaling engineering practices through post-Series B or equivalent growth
- Comfort with distributed teams across multiple US time zones; this role is fully remote with optional hubs
