This team is rebuilding that experience from the ground up, weaving pro-active tax strategy into a living financial relationship rather than a dreaded spring deadline. You'll shape a platform that pairs a crisp, consumer-grade interface with serious computational heft under the hood, making sophisticated planning feel effortless. As an early engineering hire, you'll ship across the full stack, influence architecture decisions, and help define the technical culture of a small, ambitious group that believes financial infrastructure should work for people, not against them.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years building and shipping production web applications, with deep fluency in TypeScript and React (Next.js) on the front end
- Strong backend experience with Node.js and Python, including designing APIs and working with event-driven systems like Kafka
- Comfortable owning features end-to-end: from database modeling and business logic to pixel-level UI polish
- Prior exposure to fintech, regtech, or any domain where correctness and data integrity are non-negotiable
- Instinct for product craft—you care about the why behind a feature and can push back on specs that don't serve the user
