Mortgage operations are bogged down by decades of manual paperwork and fragmented legacy systems. This growth-stage venture is replacing that quagmire with intelligent automation, and they need an engineering leader to guide the platform's technical direction. You will oversee a team building the core infrastructure that brings parity to home financing workflows, translating complex domain logic into resilient, distributed architecture. It is a chance to steer foundational product decisions at a company that has already proven market fit and secured substantial backing.
What they're looking for
- 8 or more years of software development experience with a history of managing high-output engineering teams.
- Deep fluency across TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Express, and GraphQL for full-stack application delivery.
- Proven ability to design and scale cloud-native infrastructure on AWS using Docker, Terraform, and Kafka.
- Experience shipping transactional systems backed by PostgreSQL, ideally within financial services or real estate.
- Willingness to operate in a distributed environment across approved U.S. metros including New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Austin.
