Stealth-stage defense startup building expendable undersea robots for denied-area missions.

Senior Electrical Engineer

Los AngelesOn-site$140K - $220K4 - 7 years
You'll own the electrical architecture for autonomous underwater vehicles designed to operate once, execute, and self-terminate without surfacing. Days here mean trading off battery density against thermal budgets for pressure-hull electronics, debugging motor drives at 300 atmospheres equivalent, and specifying connectors that won't fail after months in saltwater. The systems you build will never come back—so they have to work the first and only time.

What they're looking for

  • 4–7 years designing power electronics, battery management systems, or embedded electrical systems for robotics, aerospace, or maritime hardware
  • Deep experience with high-reliability PCB design: constraint-driven layout, SI/PI analysis, and design for vacuum/pressure environments
  • Proven track record integrating motors, sensors, and compute in SWaP-constrained systems where every gram and watt counts
  • Comfortable with full lifecycle ownership—from schematic capture through vendor qualification to field debug without a safety net
  • U.S. person status required; active clearance or ability to obtain one
