Forward Deployed Engineer

You'll embed directly inside banking clients — wiring live financial data into LLM systems, debugging TypeScript/React frontends that traders actually stare at all day, and extending Python pipelines that ingest market feeds into PostgreSQL. Some weeks you're shipping Next.js features from a WeWork near a client's SOMA office; others you're back in the Mission, whiteboarding how to reduce hallucinations on regulatory filings. Expect to alternate between pair-programming with backend engineers and sitting quietly in a bank's compliance meeting, taking notes on edge cases that become tickets.

What they're looking for

  • 0-5 years professional engineering experience with production TypeScript, React, and Python codebases
  • Comfortable context-switching between greenfield feature work and urgent client debugging under time pressure
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and cloud deployments on AWS or Azure
  • Genuine curiosity about financial systems — you don't need a finance degree, but you should want to learn how banks actually move money
  • Legally authorized to work in the US and able to work on-site in San Francisco 4+ days weekly
