Forward Deployed Engineer

You'll embed directly with customers—architecting production AI systems that run on their existing cloud stacks, not demo code that dies in staging. One morning you're debugging a Python retrieval pipeline on AWS; by afternoon you're whiteboarding a TypeScript frontend with their product team. The work is hands-on, opinionated, and measured by whether the deployment actually ships.

What they're looking for

  • 3–8 years shipping production software, with recent depth in Python or TypeScript
  • Proven comfort across at least two of AWS, GCP, or Azure—provisioning, securing, and optimizing, not just console clicks
  • Direct customer-facing experience: you've sat in the room, translated ambiguity into technical scope, and owned the outcome
  • Demonstrated work with LLM APIs (OpenAI or equivalent) in real applications, with taste for when not to use them
  • Willingness to be in the NYC office daily—you're building trust through presence, not Slack threads
