Virtual pediatric behavioral health clinic integrating digital, in-person, and telehealth care
Founding Principal Engineer
You'll own the architecture of care delivery systems that bridge video sessions, scheduling, clinical documentation, and parent-facing tools—building the connective tissue between therapists in the field and families at home. This is hands-on work with real weight: the abstractions you design determine whether a seven-year-old gets the right intake flow or a clinician finds the notes they need before a crisis call. You will ship daily across TypeScript, Node, and React on AWS, while setting patterns that let a 200-person team move fast without breaking the things that matter in regulated healthcare.
What they're looking for
- 6+ years shipping production systems, with deep fluency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS
- Track record of designing clean, extensible architectures in early-stage or growth-stage environments where requirements shift and uptime is non-negotiable
- Experience navigating healthcare compliance, security, or clinical workflows—or strong willingness to learn the regulatory stakes of pediatric behavioral health
- Comfort working across the full stack, from database schema decisions to front-end interaction details, without defaulting to abstraction layers you won't maintain
- Based in the New York metro area and able to collaborate in-person regularly with product, clinical, and operations teams
