Forward Deployed Engineer
We're building a platform that lets businesses hand their most tedious, high-volume tasks to machines — not through rigid scripts, but with reasoning systems that adapt as conditions change. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll embed directly with customers to design, configure, and productionize these automation pipelines, often working on-site during critical deployment windows. You'll write code that interfaces with messy enterprise systems, shape the product roadmap from the front lines, and bring hard-won field insights back to the engineering team. This is not a demo-and-disappear role — you'll own technical outcomes from first conversation through to measurable operational impact.
What they're looking for
- 2–8 years in a customer-facing engineering role such as solutions engineering, forward deployed, or technical consulting
- Fluency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred) and comfort working across APIs, SQL, and system integrations
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity in enterprise environments — scoping requirements, managing stakeholders, and pushing through integration hurdles
- Experience or strong interest in working with large language models and reasoning systems, including prompt engineering and agentic architectures
- Willingness to travel up to 30% and work on-site in San Francisco or New York with customer teams during critical phases
