This team generates synthetic worlds with physics-grade fidelity—environments where the next generation of agents learn to reason, plan, and act. As an early Forward Deployed engineer, you’ll embed directly with research partners who are pushing those agents to their limits. Your job is to make the product sing in someone else’s hands: instrument pipelines, harden integrations, debug distributed simulations in real time, and translate field scars back into product roadmap. It’s part high-stakes solutions engineering, part creative technical diplomacy, and entirely foundational to how the business earns trust.
What they're looking for
- 2–5 years of professional engineering experience, with fluency in TypeScript, Python, or Go and a track record of shipping production systems on AWS.
- Instinct for working directly with technical customers—you listen for the problem beneath the request and can redesign an integration on a whiteboard during a tense call.
- Comfort navigating large, unfamiliar codebases and distributed systems; you know when to read the source and when to instrument from the outside.
- Clear, unhurried communication under pressure, with enough humility to document what broke and enough conviction to argue for the fix it demands.
- Based in or willing to relocate to New York; this role is on-site because the best debugging still happens shoulder-to-shoulder.
