You'll own the core platform that ingests and processes enterprise data at scale, making raw information legible to downstream AI systems. Most mornings: debugging a Go service handling millions of documents, pairing with a Rust-heavy team on a new extraction pipeline, or designing Python APIs that data scientists actually want to use. This is backend engineering where reliability isn't a checkbox—it's the product.

What they're looking for

  • 5+ years shipping production backend systems in Python, Go, or Rust—ideally across at least two of them
  • Deep experience with distributed systems: you've designed for failure, not just handled it
  • Track record building data-intensive infrastructure, preferably in AI/ML or enterprise SaaS environments
  • Comfortable owning technical decisions end-to-end, from architecture to incident response
  • San Francisco on-site; you thrive in synchronous technical collaboration and short feedback loops
