Manufacturing Engineering Manager (PCBA)
Getting a printed circuit board assembly ready for the harsh realities of high orbit is a grueling engineering puzzle. This role leads the team that bridges the gap between electrical design intent and physical production yield, ensuring every board can survive launch and years in space. You will own the PCBA manufacturing process from the ground up, driving the methodology that takes complex electronics from initial prototype through to full-scale build. It demands a leader comfortable resolving the friction between design theory and factory floor realities.
What they're looking for
- 5-10 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing or electrical engineering, with time spent in a leadership role.
- Deep fluency in surface mount technology processes, inspection standards, and printed circuit board fabrication.
- Proven track record of scaling hardware production yields while resolving complex manufacturing defects.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or another high-reliability hardware environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.
