You'll own the full electrical lifecycle of robot compute and sensor subsystems—from schematic capture through board bring-up in the lab. One morning you might be debugging a motor controller layout; the next, characterizing power integrity for a novel edge-AI processor. The work sits at the intersection of high-density digital design, real-world signal integrity, and the physical messiness of moving machines.

What they're looking for

  • 5+ years designing multi-layer PCBs for complex embedded or robotics systems, with shipped hardware to show for it
  • Deep familiarity with ARM SoCs, PCIe/NVMe, camera interfaces, and mixed-signal routing at board level
  • Proven ability to bring up boards from first power-on through system integration, including hands-on rework and troubleshooting
  • Experience with power architecture for compute-heavy platforms: sequencing, hot-swap, thermal budgeting, efficiency under load
  • Comfort working shoulder-to-shoulder with mechanical engineers and software teams in San Francisco, iterating on hardware weekly
