You'll shape the interface and infrastructure that lets autonomous agents execute entire financial workflows — from research synthesis to compliance checks — without human hand-holding. The frontend you build in React and Next.js surfaces agent reasoning to skeptical portfolio managers; the Python and FastAPI services you deploy on Kubernetes handle real money with real consequences. Based in New York, this is a rare full-stack role where your work directly determines whether billion-dollar decisions get made by code or by committee.
What they're looking for
- 4–10 years shipping production code, with substantial depth in both Python backend services and modern React frontend architecture
- Demonstrated experience deploying on cloud-native stacks — Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and resilient CI/CD pipelines
- Strong command of data layer design: MongoDB, Redis, and the tradeoffs of document stores for agent state and audit trails
- Comfort building for regulated or high-stakes domains where explainability, latency, and failure modes matter more than feature velocity
- Prior exposure to AI/ML systems, financial workflows, or agentic architectures — enough to collaborate credibly with researchers and domain experts
