Data & Storage Systems Engineer

We're hiring a Data & Storage Systems Engineer to design and maintain the infrastructure powering memory and persistence layers for AI agents. You'll work on distributed systems handling high-throughput data workloads, optimizing databases and storage backends that agents rely on. This role spans backend development across multiple languages and frameworks, with ownership over Kafka pipelines, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and search systems. You'll collaborate with a 23-person team on cloud infrastructure, containerization, and system reliability.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of backend engineering experience with production systems at scale
  • Proficiency in at least two of: TypeScript/NodeJS, Kotlin, Rust, Java, or Go
  • Experience designing or operating distributed data systems (Kafka, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or similar)
  • Hands-on work with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
  • Strong problem-solving skills around data consistency, performance, and system architecture
