Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer (FDIE)

This early-stage AI company is building infrastructure to bridge human data and machine intelligence for enterprise customers. As a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer, you'll work directly with clients to deploy, operate, and scale their data pipelines while supporting the core platform team. You'll own both customer success and the robustness of deployments across multiple cloud environments, requiring hands-on infrastructure expertise and strong communication skills.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE experience with production systems
  • Proficiency in Python and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) and multi-cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco and travel to customer sites as needed
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with direct customer engagement experience
