Corporate/M&A Partner
You will quarterback deals from the first LOI to the final wire transfer—negotiating purchase agreements, structuring earnouts, and shepherding due diligence through environmental, tax, and employment landmines. Most of your time is spent in the room with founders deciding whether to sell, private equity sponsors deploying fresh capital, and REITs spinning off portfolios. Expect to originate work, mentor a small team, and occasionally talk a client off the ledge when the other side retrades at 10 p.m.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years in sophisticated M&A or corporate transactions, with substantial deal leadership on buyside and sellside
- Portable book of business or demonstrated ability to originate complex corporate and real estate-adjacent deals
- Active bar admission in California, Illinois, Colorado, or Texas (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Direct experience with one or more of the following: real estate investment platforms, joint ventures, fund formations, or cross-border structures
- Track record managing client relationships where the stakes are the entirety of someone's life's work
- Must be based in the United States.
