Founding Designer
You'll spend mornings in Figma prototyping how a support agent decides when to escalate, then afternoons shipping those interfaces directly in React and Next.js. This is the founding design seat: you're establishing the visual grammar for a product where AI is the primary user and humans supervise. Expect to build systems, not screens—designing for uncertainty, confidence thresholds, and conversation repair.
What we're looking for
- 5–10 years designing complex software, with a portfolio showing interaction systems for technical or enterprise users
- Fluency in Figma prototypes that engineers can actually build from, plus hands-on HTML/CSS/React skills
- Experience designing AI products or interfaces with probabilistic outputs, not just deterministic workflows
- Confidence establishing brand voice and visual identity from near-zero, then documenting it for scale
- Able to be in San Francisco or New York offices with the early team
- Must be based in the United States.
