Forward Deployed Engineer

You'll work as a Forward Deployed Engineer embedded with customers to solve real-world problems at the intersection of software and hardware. The company builds an operating system for physical environments, enabling automation and coordination at scale. You'll split time between customer sites and the San Francisco or Asia office, translating customer needs into product improvements and supporting deployments. This role sits at the bridge between engineering and customer success, requiring someone who thrives in ambiguity and can debug complex, multi-layered systems.

What we're looking for

  • 2–4 years of software engineering experience with demonstrated problem-solving across multiple systems
  • Proficiency in at least two of: Python, Rust, or TypeScript
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and work on-site in San Francisco or Asia
  • Strong communication skills and comfort explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience debugging hardware-software integration or working in robotics, AI, or devtools environments preferred
